Length: The maximum practical working length of this cord is 5 feet (1.5M). Coiled (relaxed state) this cord is about 14 inches (35cm) long, NOT 9 FEET. Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 9 foot cord because 9 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it's the standard.
