Uniden Zachary T 40 CHANNEL AM/CB RADIO BASE STATION.

Vintage Zachary T 40-channel CB base station transceiver. It's hard to miss because of its unique square design. The Zachary and it will go down in history as one of the best straight CB base stations ever made. The silver knobs and black face have a very classic and smooth finish. The round meter is very cool, retro and is recessed into the face. 

Zachary T's are highly desirable both for their amazing receive and clean AM modulation, but also for the easily adjustable PLL which can give you upper and lower channels by just adding a couple of switches. While this radio wins big kudos for its simple design, it’s the performance that really wins the hearts of those who have owned one.

I am the original owner. Used about 2 hours then boxed up and put up the collection shelf.

This radio is unmolested with no modifications whatsoever. A true original. 

Today, June 6, 2024, I took this radio to Reese's CB shop in Greencastle, PA for an evaluation before I listed this Zach on eBay. He was blown away by how mint, almost new this radio is, noting not a speck of dust/rust in the chassis. Just the like-new shine of the chassis: see the photo

Reese did multifunction tests, on the caps, resistors, frequency, power output etc.... Everything was in perfect working order and the radio functions like new.

Zachary T’s are hard to find and even harder to find in almost new condition as you can see from the photos. Even the original box is in exceptional shape. Four-pin mic has never been out of the box.

This thing is just plain beautiful and a part of radio history.

I intended to pass my collection down the line but my family is not interested in CB radio. So I am selling off pieces of my collection.
