CURE - Kissme kiss me kiss me DELUXE 2CD

The Cure's double album, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, stands out as both more accessible andambitious compared to their previous works. Robert Smith ventures into newsonic territories, incorporating larger guitars, occasional horn sections,lite-funk rhythms, and string arrangements. While this diversity makes thealbum eclectic, it also results in a somewhat disjointed experience, with ideasbouncing around without fully developing. Despite this, Kiss Me boasts standoutmoments like the deceptively upbeat "Why Can't I Be You?" and theelegant "Just Like Heaven," which elevate it to one of the band'sfinest offerings.

In 2006,Rhino reissued Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me as a deluxe double-disc edition. Thefirst disc features a remastered version of the album, while the second discoffers rarities from its 1986 recording sessions and accompanying tour for its1987 release. Among these are instrumental demos, studio demos resemblingfinished versions, rough mixes with guide vocals, and live versions of selecttracks. While not essential, this bonus material holds interest for dedicatedCure enthusiasts and collectors.
