Like all of the Ibanez SR series electric basses, the SR405EQM is an exceptional instrument for the money.  This bass has been lightly-used in my smoke-free, pet free studio only.  It's in EXCELLENT CONDITION (EC) cosmetically with only minor, difficult-to-photograph marks from normal use.  The most obvious blemish is on the end of the headstock; it's shown in the last photo, circled in red.  Those light spots that you see in some of the photos are reflections.  The frets are nearly pristine (6th and 7th photos).  The truss rod works and all of the switches, knobs, and electronics function as they should.  Simply put, this is an easy-playing, great-sounding bass!  I haven't spent much time with it since I acquired a SWEET multi-scale last year, so it's time for it to go to someone who can give it the attention that it deserves.

Here's a detailed description that I copied from an online vendor:

The SR405EQM is a handsome 5-string bass designed for the experienced player. The bass starts with an immaculately finished Mahogany body topped with gorgeous quilted maple. Other features include a sturdy 5-piece Maple/Jatoba SR5 neck, a Jatoba fretboard, and a B305 bridge. Cosmo Black hardware adds a hint of stealth.

At the heart of the SR405EQM's electronics are two PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups. Their stainless pole pieces offer higher output, clarity, and fullness than any in the SR405’s class. Accessed by the 3-way “Power Tap” switch, these proprietary pickups offer a choice of three tonal personalities: A rich humbucker sound, a pure single-coil sound, or an enhanced single coil sound— fattened by lows from the humbucker pickups. Add the ability to dial in precise tone preferences via the Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ, and the SR405EQM is a musical chameleon.

Please inspect my photos of the actual item closely as they are part of the description.  No battery, strap, gig bag or hard-shelled case are included in this auction.  Neither is the guitar stand seen in some of the photos.   New SR405EQM's sell for over $500.00 online.  Buy mine instead and save some cash!
