This is a listing for a SKIM removal service for most Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge ECUs & PCMs. If you are not sure about your module, please feel free to reach out to us for some confirmation or information regarding your module. We can confirm whether your module is programmable by us or not.
Description of the SKIM Removal Service:
"WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE MODULE BACK, BEFORE INSTALLATION DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND UNPLUG THE SKIM MODULE, TUCK THE WIRING OUT OF THE WAY. YOU WILL NO LONGER NEED IT. INSTALL THE ENGINE COMPUTER BACK IN THE VEHICLE AND RECONNECT THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WILL NOW START WITHOUT THE SKIM MODULE CONNECTED.
AFTER THIS PROCESS IS DONE THE VEHICLE WILL NOW FUNCTION WITHOUT THE NEED FOR THE SKIM. YOU MAY NOTICE THAT THE SECURITY LIGHT IS NOW ON. THIS IS NORMAL. THIS MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN DEPENDING ON MODEL.
YOU SHOULD NOW ALSO BE ABLE TO HAVE SPARE KEYS CUT THAT DO NOT NEED TO BE PROGRAMMED."
This should also help those who are attempting engine swaps while using stock ECUs.
NOTE:
The pictures included are what the majority of modules from Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep will look like. If your module looks like any of the modules listed above, we can program it. If you are unsure if we can remove the SKIM on your module, please reach out to us.
We are NOT providing you a replacement module. You will send your module to us; we will reprogram it and then send it back to you.
THE PROCESS:
- Once you order a service from us, we will message you with the address where to send your module in.
- We will require you to pay for the shipping to us. Please include your eBay order number, or a print out of your confirmation in the box.
- We recommend packing it well to avoid any damage from shipping.
- We will not be responsible for any damage done during shipping when sending us your module.
- We will remove the SKIM the same or the next business day from when received.
- We will then pack your module and pay for shipping the module back to you.
- We will provide you a screenshot of the "SKIM ON/OFF" value from before and after our reprogramming.
