This is deadstock from a store I closed in the early 2000s. These were probably purchased around 2001 because I remember them being advertised as a new Brand and Zoompy launched in 2000. I have them in multiple sizes and colors, Blue and Tan.
This top is fun and can be styled in so many ways. From 80s business with some wide leg pants to anime with a pleated skirt and mini backpack.
The front buttons on the pinstripe are functional but the buttons are the faux corset bodice are decorative. The top goes on like a t-shirt, over the head. There are no zippers. The back is smocked elastic to make this possible. The pinstripe shirt is attached to the faux corset in the back but not in the front. The front bottom of the pinstripe shirt is smocked elastic for comfort. The faux suspender halter straps have some elastic ruching in the back for fit.
There is stretch in the top because of the smocking but there is no stretch in the fabric itself.
