This beautiful little instrument is for a real violin or fiddle player.

I am not a good fiddle player and I hoped that I would be good enough to add some tones to my guitar based songs. I had this from 2009 and it had been used by a student who used a full size violin, and Viola as well in Concert band and school practice.

I bought it at an estate sale and had to haggle over what I wanted to spend on an instrument I knew little about.

Left at Mom's, I knew it was still around and finally we found it during basement clean out.

It comes complete with a hard shell case, a bow, bridge, strings, fine tuners for each string, and a nice rosin block to get you started. A good way to learn this instrument  without breaking the bank.

I am selling this because I don't make music with it. My fingers feel too big !  I make a few notes well but being self taught should probably begin with a full size instrument at the very least. To me,it's more difficult than guitar or lap steel.. and screeching and scratching sounds I have mastered !

Someone out there can play it much better. Inside the body are two labels, one says Suzuki and a 1998 date, and a model 101 RR?  and run number ?

Unknown about their signifigance, if any, and also another label maybe connected with a music store/chain. I think this was built from spruce. The tone when tuned up is not bad, even for a guy who doesn't play very well. The low starting price is so you guys can have fun bidding on it.

I took the old strings off, cleaned and inspected everything and found all to be o.k. The strings that were on it were likely over 11 years old so you can decide to use these 4 or buy new. Otherwise all included and a pretty and worthy  instrument all around. Must be re-strung.
