*Special Auction:

(see notation at end of listing)

This Jelenk  low-cut reversible wrestling singlet is a rare piece.

Non reversible Royal blue with white trim with V-cut shoulder straps, unlike the scoop cut of American singlets.

Labeled XXL but when placed up against a  Cliff keen reversible, it almost looks like a U.S. adult medium, might even fit a wrestler that wears a large U.S. singlet providing that they have a fairly low BFI.

The singlet is in good usable shape with no notable holes,  but does show a slight fabric pull /verticle run near the front crotch. (See next to last photo)

But these things are nearly impossible to destroy, so you shouldn't have a problem with it.

This Singlet comes from a vast collection from a coach and friend who has wrestled and coached the sport for over 26 years.

Aside from mentoring my wrestling, he was instrumental in encouraging my work in skills coaching for athletes that needed to reach the next level.

When we discussed how quickly my old Foxcatcher equipment sold, he suggested that we check his attic.

What his wife and I found was absolutely amazing: gear from his career, gear from way way back in his father's career, and practice gear from his four sons who had all wrestled and swapped gear with other wrestlers at various tournaments.

The boxes contained Books, warmups, vintage unused practice shorts from his children's wrestling days, and tights from his father's career that literally disintegrated when removed from their box.

We also came across signed bronze sculptures that were issued as trophies, silver and marble awards from silversmiths based in Greece, bronze castings for a wood award plaque that fell apart, with the casting still in pristine mint condition, vintage singlets, un worn vintage Adidas practice  shorts, the list goes on.

I will be attempting to list his whole collection in the following days, so stay tuned!

* The Special Auction Label in my listings will designate auction pieces related to this collection with the proceeds going toward helping Bill and his wife Johanna with ancillary medical expenses related to his alzheimers treatment, so please bid generously knowing that it is also for a good cause, a great friend, mentor and coach, and a fantastic human being!
