This rare and collectible book, "Indian Heroes and Great Chieftains" by Charles A. Eastman, was published in 1931 by Little, Brown, and Company in Boston. It features stories about 15 Indian chiefs, many of whom like Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse are well known to the American people. Dr. Eastman, himself a full-blooded Sioux, tells about their adventures growing up Native American, learning to hunt, scout, and fight, encounters with wild animals, and enemy Indian tribes, and their battles with the U.S. Army to keep their lands and preserve their way of life.

The scarce book is 93 years old, and is an illustrated hardcover in Very Good Antiquarian condition. It is listed as #90 in Tal Luther’s Custer High Spots.
