1881 Fusee Lever pocket watch solid silver case in very good condition and working, the solid silver case is in very good condition with no bad scratches dents or staining, it has a little wear and a few small marks on it, the back has an engine turned design with a disc in the middle, around the outside of the case is a crisscross pattern, push the button on top of the neck and the back will spring open, on the inside back cover is the Lion for 925 silver a London hallmark a date letter for 1881 and a case makers mark C.H, the watch can be wound up at this point with the key supplied, open the front cover push the button in at the bottom of the dial and the movement will swing open, there is a dust cover on the movement which is in very good condition, take it off to get to the movement, the movement looks very clean and it's working, it's key wound and set with a fusee cone which is chain driven with a lever escapement jewelled to the escapement and 3rd wheel 4 round pillars which the 3/4 plate sits on a patterned balance cock with a diamond end stone and a gold balance wheel, there is also a movement number which is the same has the case number which makes them original to each other, push the movement back down and it clicks back into place, the dial is white enamel with black roman numerals and black 24 hour numbers on the inside and a sub second dial at 6 o'clock, it has a very very small chip on the edge of the sub second dial and a few faint hairlines but the dial is still in good condition, all the hands are there and in good condition and working well, with the key supplied you can wind and set the hands has you should, the watch will run the full length of it's wind and keeps good time, the watch is 51.7mm in diameter with out the neck and 17.4mm thick with the glass, all the hinges are in good condition and working well, the glass is plastic but it's in very good condition, this is a very very nice Fusee Lever pocket watch in a solid silver case in very good condition and working, please look at my photos and bid postage outside the UK will be extra.
