Very Rare~LITTLE GOLDEN BOOK ~ Walt Disney’s SAVAGE SAM D74 ~based on the novel “Savage Sam” by Fred Gipson published by Harper and Row told by Carl Memling illustrated by Hamilton Green ~ SYDNEY EDITION ~ I am very hard on my golden books as I also collect them and I am very fussy. Books may sound worse than they actual are, so be guided by your pictures. GOLDEN PRESS SYDNEY © 1963 first edition PRE DECIMAL CURRENCY PRICES IN BACK OF BOOK AND LAST NUMBER D73 ~ This is a old hardcovered book. NUMBERS ON BACK COVER 94 TO 261 D13 TO D73 A1 ~ 4 squared back cover with black and goldish/silver spine. The foil is good on the front and back with only some rolling back at the top and bottom, on the very thin spine edge there is peeling and at least 1/3 missing and there is some wear at the top and bottom. PLEASE VIEW YOUR PICTURES AS THEY FORM PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. Hardboards have some rubbing/bumping rounding the corners, some rubbing on edges. Discolouring to the cover with some age spots? Couple of marks on back cover. In the thicker covered Sydney editions there is usually small crack/nick at the top or bottom of the spine gutter on the spine bend. In this one there is a paper split in the gutter of the front cover at the bottom, it is just over1cm and a small chip on the top of the gutter. These make the book sound much worse than it is but these are rarely described when you buy LGB’s and are usually very minor. Inside the book a name has been whited out in the belongs to box. The pages have no tears and no scribble. There are some age spots or age discolouring. On one page there are a couple of red spots, but the match the red in the dogs mouth so possible meant to be there??? Pages are otherwise good. Book is in good condition.
