Fantastic story by Angela Brazil, a classic, mid 20th century school story:

Fair condition, some wear overall, some bumps and marks to the covers. Pages are clean and sturdy, bit grubby at the edges. Beautiful black and white plates inside. No date, but set in wartime so 1940s. 1st edition.
