Description
Complex rhythms, extreme technicality, a storm of blast beats, unparalleled brutality. The 15th anniversary remaster of [ObZen] by Meshuggah, the pioneer of djent, is here! Enjoy this historic masterpiece that shines brightly in the extreme metal world with a clearer and more powerful sound image!
Meshuggah of Sweden brought extremely complex rhythms to extreme metal and built the foundation for the later genre of djent. Their influence is immeasurable. They were formed in 1987. After releasing several demos, they signed with Nuclear Blast, an up-and-coming label at the time. Their debut album [Contradictions Collapse] released in 1991 still showed a musicality that could be classified as thrash metal, but their next album [Destroy, Erase, Improve] (1995) was a sudden awakening. This work, which incorporated influences from jazz guitarists such as Allan Holdsworth, was the true starting point of Meshuggah. With each album thereafter, their style became more and more complex. Meshuggah became the most cutting-edge band in the extreme metal world. In particular, no one would disagree that their album [ObZen], released in 2008, is their masterpiece and stands tall in the extreme metal world.
This time, [ObZen] will be reissued to mark the 15th anniversary of its release. There is no need to say much about this work. Complex rhythms, extreme technicality, a storm of blast beats, and unparalleled brutality. A specification of intelligence and brutality. It is a great masterpiece that many consider to be the pinnacle of Meshuggah. This reissue has been remastered, allowing you to enjoy this historic work with a clearer and more powerful sound image. Of course, it is a must-have for Meshuggah fans. It is also a great introduction for those who want to listen to technical extremes.
