“This book, produced by Andre Suret and Fernand Mourlot, was printed in 3,000 copies on Grand Vélin Renage watermarked with the publisher's mark.  

It was completed printing on March 25, 1951 on the presses of Mourlot Frères and Georges Duval, Master Printers in Paris-The typography is from the Union printer.”


Profusely illustrated book with high quality Color and B&W illustrations.


Translation of a note printed near the front of the book:

 "The cover is an original and unpublished composition of Renoir that the artist had created for the cover of a book on his work. 

Frontispiece is a portrait of Auguste Renoir by himself, an oil painting (36x47) executed in 1910. 

We were able to reproduce it thanks to the kindness of Pierre Renoir.”


VERY GOOD Condition (Would have listed “Like New” except it is 71 years old.)

Plain card wraps, paper dust jacket; 86 numbered pages plus indexes (total of 92 pp); 32 illustrations, 4 in color.
