In 1998, Xotic released their very first pedal, an innovative invention, the Robotalk1. This pedal was a unique boutique pedal that was extremely successful with musicians all over the world. Thanks to its random arpeggiator, envelope filter, and low pass filter, the Robotalk is still alive and thriving today. However, it has been modified to suit the modern player. Introducing the Robotalk2.
This model comes designed with two independent envelope filter channels, which are independently voiced with their own controls. Thanks to this, you can either use the effects separately or stack them for even more tonal possibilities. Experiment to find the perfect sound for your style. Each channel offers its own unique sound. Use channel A for a loud and full tone that is perfect for screaming leads, or use channel B for a clearer sound, which perfectly suits low-end notes and chords.
Each channel also comes included with its own sensitivity, decay, resonance, and volume controls, which provide you with the opportunity to effortlessly shape each channel separately. With sensitivity, you are able to decide how sensitive the envelope curve responds to the input signal, whilst decay allows you to select the time and start frequency of the decay. Also included is a resonance for determining the proportion, and a volume for a projected sound. There are also internal dip switches in the unit which you can alter, in order to change the frequencies of each channel.
