This book was among some that my daughter had packed away when she was re-selling books to earn money for college. The cover of the books shows shelf wear. There is writing inside the front cover with a name, a room number and stamps to identify the school. Otherwise, I have found no stray marks other than the stamp on at least one other page. I found one page that has been dog-eared. The binding is tight and pages are fairly crisp but do show signs of use with some light smudging and they are a bit off-white in color.

As is typical of a basal reader, the book is composed of short stories written by other people. The authors are those who compiled these stories. I was surprised to see Mr. Popper's Penguins among the stories since I remember reading that to my daughter in the 1980s!There are beautiful color illustrations throughout the book and a glossary at the back.

Please see pictures for better detail and feel free to ask questions!

Note: All of my items come from a smoke-free home. We have one cat, but I do my best to keep her away from areas where I prepare items for selling. Nearly all items have been stored in closets in rooms she does not go into. I do my best to describe items clearly and only sell in a condition I would use myself. If I miss something, please contact me to let me know! Shipping: I try my best to provide a reasonable shipping price and do not include packaging and handling in the cost. If you end up paying more than a few cents beyond my cost for shipping, I will refund the difference. If it costs me more to ship it's on me!  About me: I am a retired teacher cleaning out my closets and working towards getting rid of anything I don't use or no longer need. Everything I'm selling belonged to me or one of my family members - in this case a book my daughter purchased to re-sell but I am not a thrifter-reseller! My goal for retirement is to downsize as much as possible so my relatives aren't left with a mess when I die!
