What Do Wheel Spacers Do?

Improve Vehicle Stability: wheel spacers widen your vehicle wheel base, increasing stability and resistance to side roll-over. By widening the distance between the left and right wheels, the car is more planted. This improves overall handling, grip, and cornering. Added stability provides extra control for experienced riders, and an additional margin of safety for younger or less experienced riders.

Provide Better Traction: wheel spacers increase tire to frame clearance allowing installation of wider wheels and high-traction mud,rock or snow tires.

And this allows for larger brake calipers which fixed brake caliper clearance issues, and inner fender and suspension clearance.

Gives Vehicle a Unique Stance/Look: wheel spacers will slightly push out the tires and make them perfectly aligned with the fender or in some cases even push them out past the fender for more of an aggressive look with a “wider stance”.

This is good bang for the buck. Wheel spacers are an easy install that have a big effect on your ride. There aren’t many other aftermarket mods that make this much difference per dollar.

DOUBLE-CHECK your vehicle compatibility (Year/Make/Model) in the Product Description BEFORE buying these wheel spacers.

Make sure the wheel spacers you’ve chosen are the right pattern for your wheels.

If they aren’t, they won’t fit and you’ll have to get a new set. You should never modify wheel spacers in any way.

IMPORTANT NOTES

 

• Installation by a professional technician is highly recommended.
• Avoid using an impact wrench; hand wrench is recommended. Improper usage may cause lug nuts/bolts to break or loosen while driving, which will take potentially accident or injury. Be sure to torque the lug nuts to manufacturer specifications.
• Clean the surface where the wheel spacer will be mounted. Then, clean the back of the wheel as well. When applicable to your specific vehicle application, remove the rotor/drum retainer clips. Be sure to remove all rust and corrosion with a wire brush. All surfaces must be clean so the wheel spacer sits perfectly For flat on the vehicle mounting surface. If the surface is not clean, wheel vibration will occur.
• Re-torque all lug nuts after 50-100 miles of driving, then again after 2-3,000 miles. Tip: Ensuring that all mating surfaces are properly cleaned before re-torquing.

Installation Procedure:

Step 1: -Following your vehicle owner's manual, proper raise the vehicle and support it using adequately load-rated jackstands -Remove wheels and inspect rotors for any damage or cracks. If any damage is identified, don't continue with this installation. -Remove any wheel visible rust from the mating flange on the vehicle's rotor. Check both the rotor and wheel mounting flanges for burns, rivet heads, or other obstruction which could prevent proper seating of the spacer/adapter.	Step 2:   -If proper seating can be achieved, apply provided thread locker to vehicle's studs  and mount the wheel spacers on to rotor by torquing provided wheel spacers/adapter lug nuts.  Tighten all lug nuts to the appropriate torque specification using a torque wrench -Install wheel on to wheel spacer using existing lug nuts.  Tighten all lug nuts to the appropriate torque specification using a torque wrench -DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH.	Step 3: -Check that wheel and tire clearance allow for full steering(lock-to-lock). -If there is no interference, vehicle may be lowered. -Re-check torque after traveling the first 50-100 miles, then again every 2000-3000 miles.
