In good vintage condition with slight uniform internal haze on the prisms right side. Left looks perfect. Views totally fine. Use them for five to ten years and then decide whether to send them out for servicing ($200 average). 

Not sure where they were made but suspect China.  They use BK-7 prisms which are just as bright center of the field as Bak-4s. The triangular chordal cuts surrounding the exit pupil make the overall impression seem slightly dimmer than those from optics using Bak-4s, but not always nor under all conditions. For instance we own north of 70+ vintage binos most of which use BK-7s and they are just as bright under daytime conditions as sets using Bak-4s. The biggest difference occurs under low light to dark conditions. Even then we have a few binos with BK-7s that outperform Bak-4s due to other optical considerations such as quality of coatings and fineness of prism and lens finish.

As long time collectors who also service such atavistic optics we know how to honestly evaluate them and clean such classics. This model is much more difficult to service but can be done. The internal haze isn't harsh enough in our considered opinion to warrant the effort that would also raise the final price. And most Sellers would never mention such haze as they don't know how to check for it.

Comes with a set of up-cycled ocular lens caps should one wish to leave them on a shelf ready for use. Prevents dust accumulating on surfaces that could cause scratches. And a soft sided carry/storage case with the MINOLTA logo. The bino features a neoprene QUANTARAY carry strap that is super comfortable. Focus controls are fine, no stiffness.
