DESCRIPTION

The Combinata, Dennis Fano's first design for the Rivolta line, was aptly named given its combination of two inspirations: the Rickenbacker Combo, and Dennis' own RB6.

Taking cues from the Rivolta Mondata, this new model takes the Combinata concept even further; fusing the Mondata's sought-after 3-pickup layout and switching system with iconic Combinata aesthetics.

The COMBINATA XVIII is the evolution of a design with which followers of Dennis Fano should be very familiar. The larger and slightly offset body give the COMBINATA a shapely silhouette and more substantial feel. The chambered mahogany body features a German carve top (mahogany on metallics, maple on burst). The 25″ scale maple set-neck sports the comfortably chunky “Rivolta C+” neck profile, with 24 medium jumbo frets.

SWITCHING SYSTEM

The Combinata VIII features a first for Dennis Fano: it's his first design to incorporate a double switching system, including a selector switch for the bridge and neck pickups, and a mode switch. The mode switch has 3 positions:

"Standard" (toggle down: no middle pickup, only bridge and/or neck pickup, selected via upper toggle)

"Combo" (toggle in the middle: middle pickup + bridge and/or neck pickup, selected via upper toggle)

"Override" (toggle up: middle pickup only, upper toggle bypassed)
