Remarks: *Vollmer 1; Gutenberg 1420; Witte 56. - Signed and dated in the print. Broel learned his craft from Maximilian Dasio and Hermann Groeber in Munich, belonged to the "Free Group" in Düsseldorf and was a member of the Munich Artists' Cooperative. In 1940 he died of a severe stroke. His bookplate work includes more than 100 sheets. In terms of motifs, he belongs to the landscape and ornamental artists; several of his prints are available with and without remarques, and color variations are also recorded. - Small assembly residue on the back. Minimally stained.
