This is a 500mm f8 Samyang lens designed to mount on SLR cameras (35mm and smaller formats) using a T-mount converter. Focusing is manual (from infinity down to about 33 ft. if the lens is used without additional extension), aperture control is manual using the preset ring method. On a 35mm body this is a very long lens - on a digital camera with APS-C or smaller sensor it is an extreme telephoto, very useful for wildlife photography etc. This model is shorter than most 500mm lenses I've seen, which are usually close to 500mm long - this is about 330mm including caps. I think it's simply a more modern optical design. It's also much lighter, about 700g, in part due to the use of strong ABS plastics for parts of the barrel. I'm supplying it with front and rear caps and an M42 screw T-mount - if you would prefer a different mount please check with me, I have mounts for a wide range of 35mm cameras (but may not have rear caps for some of them). I don't have any mounts for mirrorless cameras. I don't have a suitable case or pouch for it.

This is mechanically and cosmetically good but there is light dust in the rear, probably fungus spores, and some cloudiness and fungus in the front element. This is reducing contrast slightly, and I recommend getting it cleaned if possible.

I took test pictures using a Canon Eos 600D camera with M42 adapter. All pictures except the last were taken at f11, 800 ISO. Weather was cloudy shortly before it began to rain.

As usual I'm starting low and with no reserve. I'm separately selling some other photographic items. If you buy multiple auction items from me please request a combined postage invoice, I'll do my best to get it down to the lowest possible price.

International buyers:
The postage price shown is based on an estimate of packed weight, just under 1kg. This will be sent by a tracked postal service; if multiple items are sent (max 2kg including packaging) the tracking applies to the whole package and postage works out much cheaper per item. Please note that eBay will add VAT or sales tax to the final price in the EU and some other countries.
