The
Welsh tapestry clothing that I have for sale was my deceased partners
collection.
For
the last 6 nearly 7 years they have all been stored in sealed boxes away from
light and the pesky moths. prior to that a selection were in semi-regular use
and all were stored in a wardrobe (which had been reinforced due to the weight
of them all). And before that I do not know where they had been, but they were
collected from a wide range of sources over a few years. All had come second
hand from somewhere else and none had been bought from new as she wasn’t born
until the 70’s and didn’t become interested in the style until her 30’s.
Which
means that a lot of the items had been stored with moth balls and because of
the way they have been stored since I have had them the moth ball smell is
noticeable in most of the items. I have checked and drycleaning can remove the
smell of moth balls. all the items are dry clean only and I have no idea which
items have been cleaned and when was the last time they were cleaned.
But
having said that you will see from the photographs that nearly all the items
are in very good condition and a large number are in excellent condition. I
have done my best to give you the best representation of the items with the
photographs that have been listed.
I
will obviously combine postage if you are buying multiple items,
Please
look at the photographs for how the measurements were taken and be aware that
if any of the items do have labels then the sizing would have been sized in the
60’s and as a result may well be different to modern sizing.
The
following measurements have been taken from the photographs and are in inches.
Body
length 27
½
chest
½

hem 30
Any
questions please ask and I will strive to answer as quickly as possible,
although I do have a slight disclaimer I now have a 2 year old son and I do not
live where the items listed are stored so it might take a couple of days to get
back to you with the correct answer.
