We use premium Russian hydrothermal rough for most of our gems. We do have a small amount of Flux grown material (AA quality) as indicated. We select for top color and minimal treacly effect. These gems have essentially the same optical, physical and chemical properties as natural Emerald.
Fine Cut = Precision cut or visually imitates a precision cut. These stones have equal and symmetrical faceting with proper cutting angles ("critical angle') and depth.
Depth is between 60% and 70% of size listed. Size can vary +-0.1mm. 2-3mm (millimeter) gems are very small - less than 1/8 inch.
AAA = eye clean, any inclusions will not be visible to the eye.
AA = Inclusions will be difficult to see, yet visible from the face
Keep in mind that you are seeing much more in the photo than you can see with the naked eye, most times over 20x magnification. Dust, fingerprints and flash reflections are exaggerated in photographs. Smaller sizes will have progressively less color saturation than photo.
