I have here for sale a rare surviving item in this antique fruit or biscuit jar. Hand blown glass with the Greek key etched design and highly polished pontil base as shown and with the matching lid and base. This item was once silver plated but due to its considerable age and being polished many times over the years all but some of the silver plate has been polished away, there is still a little of the original silver plate remaining on the base as shown.

As you can see there is a makers mark on the base which reads J K & Co. and in its day this item would have been an expensive purchase.

The glass jar measures 5 inches in diameter and just under 5 inches high and is a heavy piece of glass.

The Greek key design is wheel etched by hand into the glass and the glass jar is in perfect condition.

This is a wonderful surviving antique storage jar with matching base and lid most likely Victorian in age and could once again be silver plated should you wish or if you prefer simply left with the brass base colour as shown.
