Featuring hallucinogenic lyrics matched to aggressive proto-punk-ish acid rock, the recording is not only the perfect distillation of a bad LSD trip but features the prescient line "Please understand, you might not come back." Luckily, the rest of the LP is far from filler and, despite hippie-dippie titles like "Why is a Carrot More Orange Than an Orange," is filled with sharp songwriting and heavy rock & roll that at its best sounds like Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd jamming with the MC5.
