This auction offers a book titled Little Bo-Peep and Other Good Stories; it was printed in 1905 by the Henry Altemus Company. The title page says it has Seventy Illustrations, all are black/white except the frontis.  The description from Altemus describes it as the first of their Bo-Peep Series (an entirely new series comprising the best known of Young Children's Classics; produced with exquisite taste and amazing cheapness.)  It is further described as "Half Vellum, Quarto, with Illuminated Sides, handsomely printed from large clear type on choice paper; containing about 75 illustrations in color and black and white."  The book is small, as are all Altemus books, 6/5 x 8.5 inches.  The cover is attractive, marbled (See photo of back, this marbled, not soil) tightly bound with lightly rubbed edges and bumped corners.  There is a gift inscription penciled in the front but no other writing or damage.  A small tear is shown in photos. This is a rare find!
