Here's an extremely well carved and executed quarter sawn oak child's crib of the best quality. This crib dates from the last quarter of the 19th century and is of Continental origin. This is not a rocking crib ; it rests on four little turned feet.  I'm impressed by the flowing ribbon carving and the leafy carved top edge of the paneled sides. The finish is a slightly golden original varnish surface. This piece is 47 inches long X 23 inches wide X 30 inches tall. It could be used safely for a child for a while.  As well, over the years I have sold several Victorian and early country cribs to cat lovers as cat beds. I know that one of our entitled felines would hop right into this bed and claim it in no time. In any case, I'm offering one of the more tasteful and quality antique oak cribs you will find.
