Welcome, Today for you consideration is a Genuine GM New Old Stock 77 to 83 "Oldsmobile" closed "M" design name plate, GM part #200009695 was part #555735 it's in very good NOS condition, nice shiny chrome, in 1984 GM changed the design to the open "M" style most people are unaware of this subtle change but the trained eye definitely knows! See the last 4 pics for illustration, last pic shows the aftermarket emblem, only to very top edge of the letters is chrome, the GM emblem the letters are chrome to the backing. Correct for Cutlass Supreme, Custom Cruiser, Toronado (fenders) and some others. ONLY the REAL GM emblem has the pull tab for the peel-off backing. Rare find these days!
