This listing is for a Compressor Reseal Kit to reseal Ford FS-10 AC Compressors, Ford FX15 Compressors, HCC HS-18 AC Compressors, and HS-20 AC Compressors.
IF you remove the compressor's front nose cone / front head the shaft seal can be removed without a special shaft seal remover tool.
The easiest way to remove the shaft seal is to open the compressor case housing & drive the shaft seal out from behind (inside the compressor). Then replace the "included" center case housing O-Ring and bolt the compressor back together.
The 2 included Manifold Gasket O-Rings may be different on "some" compressor applications. This kit only includes what is shown in the
posted pictures.
THIS KIT IS COMPATIBLE WITH BOTH R12 AND R134A REFRIGERANTS.

TORQUE SPEC:
Thru Bolt Torque Spec for FS10, FX15, HS18, HS20 Compressors:
18
Foot lbs
Install the NEW clutch plate bolt, and tighten to 98-123 INCH lbs. (11-14 N.m). Using a feeler gauge, measure air gap between clutch plate and pulley assembly mating surfaces in 3 places. Air gap should be 0.014-0.030" (0.36-0.75 mm). If air gap is not as specified, add or remove shims as necessary.

A shaft seal Protector is REQUIRED for Teflon compressor shaft seal installation. The tool protects, EXPANDS, and STRETCHES the Teflon (Plastic) Lip seal to install the seal. Without the tool you WILL damage the new shaft seal by improperly installing it.
The Shaft seal protector is REQUIRED if you are to install a seal without damaging the new seal.
Without the tool how will you expand the Teflon Lip seal to install it?
Teflon seals are not like rubber seals. Teflon seal are actually manufactured with a smaller inside diameter than the actual compressor shaft. That is why you MUST use this tool to properly install the new seal.
