A great gift for that special loved one in your life or for yourself because when you buy safe.

Leaves of Grass The Collected Poems of Walt Whitman published by Blue Ribbon Books 1942.

The book has tight binding. The book has clean pages except for the front end page, which has a description on it, and the half title page, which has a small spot on the edge of the page. The inner boards have some light brown shadowing. The spine of the book has a couple of nicks along the edge of the spine, and there is wear to the top and bottom of the spine. The corners of the book have some scraping. The book comes with the original dj and has the publishers original price of a dollar on the top right inner flap. The dj is in very poor condition, probably from all the love shown by previous owners who read and traveled with this beloved book of poetry. The dj has rips, tears, creases, rubbing, and pieces missing.

This book is sold as is.

Here is some info I got off wikipedia on this poet "Walter Whitman Jr. (May 31, 1819 – March 26, 1892) was an American poet, essayist, and journalist. He is considered one of the most influential poets in American history. Whitman incorporated both transcendentalism and realism in his writings and is often called the father of free verse. His work was controversial in his time, particularly his 1855 poetry collection Leaves of Grass, which was described by some as obscene for its overt sensuality."
