THE TOE QUEEN POEMS

By Ed Sanders, with a forward by Consuela
[1964]

Collection of verse from Sanders and his notorious press.

Near fine.

"[P]rinted, published, zapped & ejaculated at a secret location on the lower east side."

According to Sanders, the inspiration for these poems was "a guy who worked at the 2-for-25-cent hamburger place next door [and] came in for cigarettes. I asked him why he was barefoot. He replied, 'I have a date with Toe Queen, and my date likes dirty feet." A well-preserved example.
