Here you can get 30 seeds of the red Texas Star Hibiscus, also known as Hibiscus Coccineus. These were grown organically in my garden are freshly harvested 09/2023.

Texas Star is a stunning flower that is a great addition to any garden. This native plant is hardy in zones 7-11, and grows best in sunny or partial shade locations. It grows 3 - 6 feet tall and about 4 feet wide and dies back to the ground in winter.

Start the seeds early in late winter indoors in pots after having placed them in the fridge for one or two months since these seeds benefit from cold stratification. Before you plant them in soil, soak them in water overnight. Cover the seeds in the pots with fine soil and keep them moist till they germinate. Transplant them outside after frost is over. If you are lucky they will flower the first year. Easy to grow!
