This sale is for the box only. No tin toy is included. I have bought/sold/fixed several of these toys over the years but it is really rare to find one in the box or find just the box. I have a perfect Jupiter toy with its box and currently have another that I just repaired and it has no box. Since I am keeping both toys for my collection, I really wanted another box for the second.. So I made a reproduction box for myself and thought it came out really nice so I made another to offer up to you fellow collectors.
The box is constructed in the same style as the original meaning the upper box art top and the plain cardboard bottom are made with three panels each, both lightly glued and then stapled. See photos. I did not clean up the image on the new one so that it still looks like it is from the 50's. It would look too fake if it appears brand new. Even if you do not actually have the toy it is still a great example of Cold War fear and the importance of making sure the kids are ready to defend the country. Awesome box art, it is exciting and urgent and conveys a lot in its imagery. A real art piece.
