Fitment for:
Ford F-150 2005-2008 4.2l
Package Includeds: 1PCS Fuel Injectors
Product Features:
1. Precise control:Thereby improving the combustion efficiency and power performance of the engine.
2. Good atomization effect:It allows the fuel to be fully burned and reduces emission pollution. The engine runs more stably, with less vibration and less engine noise.
3. Adaptive regulation:Fuel injectors can also be adaptively adjusted according to the working state of the engine to ensure the normal operation of the engine under different working conditions.
4. compact structure:It is easy to maintain and replace, and reduces maintenance costs.
Product structure diagram:
Product installation procedure:
Step 1: Insert the injector into the mounting hole.
Step 2: Use a wrench to pre-tighten the bolts that secure the injector and compress the injector.
Step 3: Completely loosen the bolts that secure the injector.
Step 4: Install the jumper tube.
Step 5: Pre-tighten the jumper pipe.
Step 6: Tighten the injector fixing bolts according to the specified torque and tighten the injector again.
Step 7: Tighten the jumper tube according to the specified torque.
Note:The sampler with jumper tube must be installed according to the above process in order to avoid damage to jumper tube and more serious engine failure.
Precautions when using the injector:
1. Before using the vehicle, manually pump oil into the injectors of each cylinder to prevent dry grinding due to lack of fuel lubrication.
2. After long-term shutdown or maintenance, bleed the fuel injection equipment, including the injector, to prevent air from entering and causing unbalanced loads on each cylinder.
3. The equipment engineer must know how to correctly disassemble and assemble the fuel injector and adjust injection pressure according to manufacturer instructions.
4. Pay attention to the quality of fuel as it affects the service life and stability of the injector.
5. Monitor each cylinder parameter closely for signs of malfunction such as increased fuel consumption, excessive emissions, difficulty starting, unstable idling, weak acceleration, or easy stalling.
Working principle of the fuel injector:
When the electromagnetic coil is energized, it creates suction to lift the needle valve and open the spray hole, allowing fuel to be sprayed out at high speed for complete combustion.
The injector nozzle is normally closed but opens when there is an input control signal. The opening and closing of the valve is controlled by the movement of a valve needle.
When the ECU issues an injection command, its voltage signal causes current to flow through the injector's coil, generating a magnetic field to lift the valve needle and allow fuel to be sprayed out from the injection hole.
Is there a break-in period with my new fuel injectors?
The answer is yes. But, only if you do it right.
If you install a high-flow fuel injector , you risk over-fueling the engine. The result is fouled spark plugs, erratic idle, power surging and even permanent damage to the catalytic converter and your engine.
What will bigger fuel injectors do?
Installing larger fuel injectors on a stock engine is not recommended without making other changes to the fuel system or re-mapping the ECU. Doing so can cause misfires, erratic engine rpm, and reduced fuel economy, potentially leading to engine damage.
If you have a modified engine and want to install higher flow fuel injectors, please contact us assistance in choosing the right upgrade.
Can you upgrade fuel injectors?
Yes, a fuel injector upgrade is a great option to help add miles-per-gallon or restore lost power and torque in older or high-mileage engines.
How do I know if my current injectors are low impedance or high impedance?
By measuring the resistance across the two electrical terminals of the injector with a multimeter, you can determine the impedance. If the resistance is between 1.5 and 4.0 Ohms, you have low impedance injectors (Low Z). If the resistance is between 8 and 16 Ohms, you have high impedance injectors (High Z).
