For your consideration is this Post WWI USMC Enlisted P1924 Dress Blue Coat with METAL BELT HOOK, 4 panel back dtd 1923-24.

Coats dtd 1923 are supposed to be a pattern 1920 EM Dress Blue Coat which has a 3 panel back, but this has 4 panels, but it has the extremely RARE metal belt hooks. That makes up for it.

This is an extremely rare piece with belt hooks in the back as USMC Enlisted P1924 Blue Dress Coat have cloth belt hooks.

This coat is dtd 1923-24 was issued to Harry E Bryan.

He was a part of the Mounted Detachment while in China from 1921-27. He was promoted to Cpl in 1927. I know that he was Sgt in 1938 and 1st Sgt in 1939.

It looks like he joined in 1920. I see that he served at China, Philippines, Guam and Hawaii but spent most of his time in China. He was in China many times through 1939.

I’m selling this piece in order to help my 12 year old daughter Allison. She has Leukemia. 100% of my sales goes towards her recovery.
