Gretsch 3703 Sierra Jumbo Gloss Natural 2000 Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Here for sale we have Gretsch 3703 Sierra Jumbo Historic Series electro-acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Korea in 2000, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, a Maple neck and 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. Other appointments include a French Triangular Soundhole, sealed tuning machines and a Fishman Prefix Active Pickup System.

The Gloss finished Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the "C" profile providing a thick enough hold to inspire confidence and feel dependable without being cumbersome. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant to the touch and the 14" radius feeling as flat and consistent as ever, fretting is a breezy and sumptuous affair in any register. The Jumbo body size feels great in both seated and standing positions, ensuring comfort on long practice sessions and gigs.  

This instrument voice is warm and detailed, with the Mahogany back and sides producing a loud and responsive midrange. The Solid Sitka Spruce top provides a balanced tone with plenty of low end power and warm detail. The understated high end of this guitar remains detailed but subtle, adding unique character to this guitar, making this guitar perfect for singer songwriter styles of playing. The jumbo body size produces a loud and powerful tone, yet there is plenty of dynamic range to be achieved with this instrument. The Fishman Prefix Active Pickup System interprets the voice of the guitar in a discreet and intuitive package, keeping with the refined aesthetic of the guitar.

Aesthetic Condition:

Overall very good condition, some finish chipping is apparent by the nut, revealing the wood beneath. The front face demonstrates light scratching visible under direct lighting at certain angles. Light indentation and paint transfer is apparent to the top edge. 

Overall good condition, this instrument has had fingerboard delamination repaired. The cracking of the finish can be felt under the finger, but presents no structural concern. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching throughout the register not felt under the thumb in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light indentation in the early register from regular use. 

Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent light indentation throughout the lower bout. Between the soundhole and both the bass and treble side waist, light to moderate scratching is apparent from use of a plectrum. Paint transfer is apparent to the sides which we have been unable to remove through regular cleaning. The rear demonstrates moderate scratching to the centre of the face.

Condition of Frets:

The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is noticeable through the early register.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

There is no room remaining in the saddle for further adjustments.

The volume knob has a notable crackle, however once set the guitar amplifies correctly.
