Signed Michael Ondaatje - Warlight (NY,
Alfred A. Knopf, 2018) - Signed by Michael Ondaatje on the title page without
inscription, a stated First Edition, first printing per convention with no
addition printings listed. The book is
in very good + condition in a straight binding that isn’t as tight as fine;
rear hinge tighter than front. Exterior
is flawless with no damage to boards and bright clean page ends. Interior
contents are near fine with no names or errant marks but a slight faded area
and small ghost sticker imprint to FFEP (see photos). Sans brodart cover, the dust jacket is priced
and in fine condition.
Signed Ivan Doig - Dancing at the Rascal
Fair (NY, Atheneum, 1987) -Beautifully signed on the title page without
inscription by Ivan Doig, with 1 in its print run, a first printing in near
fine condition. Binding is square firm
with a sharp clean exterior and clean page ends. Interior contents are fine
with no names, errant marks or damaged pages.
Sans brodart cover, the dust jacket is in near fine condition, price
clipped with no chips or tears but some light sticker residue to bottom inner
corner of rear panel.
Signed Meyer Levin - Signed by Meter
Levin Signed on the FFEP by the author with a cordial inscription “For Marvin
Stone”, the late editor for U.S. News & World Report as well as the Deputy
Director of the U.S. Information Agency, with 1 in its print run, this is a
first printing and a prestigious association copy of the true First American
Edition of “The Obsession” (NY, Simon and Schuster, 1973) his autobiographical
work covering his legal actions regarding The Diary of Anne Frank and his
perceptions of the times. The book is in
very good + condition. Binding is sound
but far from tight with a touch of a cant and a minor pull of text block at
crown. Spine has a slight indentation.
Boards and page ends are clean.
Interior is fine with no errant marks or names. Sans archival cover, the dust jacket is
priced and in near fine condition with no chips or tears, minor wear to edges
and light rubbing to panels.
Signed John Nichols - American Blood
(NY, Henry Holt & Co.1987) - signed on the title page by the author without
inscription, a first printing (1 in its print run) in near fine condition. Binding is very firm and square with a touch
of wear to exterior crown. Page ends are
very clean. Interior contents are fine free of any marks or names other the
author’s autograph. In an archival
cover, the dust jacket is priced and in fine condition with very minor rubbing.
Signed Peter Carey - Amnesia (NY, Alfred
A. Knopf; 2015) – signed on the title page by Peter Carey without inscription,
a first printing in very good + condition in a square firm binding (rear hinge
tighter than front) with a flawless exterior with no bumps or tears to boards
and clean page ends. Interior is fine with no names or marks. Sans brodart cover, the dust jacket is priced
and in fine condition.
