I bought this camera used, hoping to use it as an everyday camera.
When I examined it closer, I noticed that the Foam\Light Seal around the inside of the frame was deteriorated (see photos #8, 9, 10 & 11), and needs to be replaced.
This MG-1 has been used strictly as a display piece for several years.
I didn't even bother checking out any features - except the lens does seem to focus when you turn the Focus ring.
Other than the Foam, the Camera seems to be in pretty good condition.
The Lens looks clear.
There are a few Minor Scuffs & Scratches on the Body, but No Major ones that I noticed. (see any photo for examples.)
Even without the Battery, the Exposure Counter works when you advance the Film Lever.
When you advance the Film Lever and Open the Film Back and Look inside - you can see the Shutter Open when you push the Shutter Release Button.
This Camera looks pretty good, considering it's around 45-50 years old!
* It has not been tested with a Battery - so I'm not sure if the CdS Light Sensor, Exposure Warning Lights or Hot Shoe work. PLEASE keep this in mind if you Bid! *
