Waist is measured hip to hip.  

Inseam is measured crotch to bottom of leg (if inseam and can be lengthened see photos).  

Leg opening is measured across bottom of leg.  

Rise is measured crotch to waist.  

For best fit, lay a pair of pants you own flat and measure as described above.  Compare your measurements to those shown in the photos.  Fit is key to looking your best.
