Action Comics Vol 1 #329 [Oct 1965]

Superman & Supergirl! Al Plastino & Jim Mooney [VG+]

October, 1965

Cover Price: $0.12

Cover Artist: Curt Swan

This classic Silver Age DC comic contains two stories!

Superman in: "The Ultimate Enemy!"

Writer: Edmond Hamilton

Pencils & Inks: Al Plastino

and Supergirl in: "Drang, the Destroyer!"

Writer: Leo Dorfman

Pencils & Inks: Jim Mooney

The comic itself: Is in pretty decent shape, I would grade it at aproxmately VG+, maybe better. The cover has some wear on it, and their are numerous creases along the spine. The book does have one obvious flaw, the center spread is loose, and separated from its staples. But, the page is their and none are missing…  Please check out my scans.

My history with it:  I've owned this classic issue since approximately 1968, I picked it up at a used comic book store in Brooklyn on Flatbush Avenue. After I brought it home and read it, I put it in its comic bag and its been safely cherished [for almost 50 years!] with my other comics in my personal comic book collection. The comic is bagged with board and ready for your enjoyment.

Any questions, please ask.

Of note: Sadly I'm finally selling off most if not all of my collection, so please check out my other listings (specifically comics, perhaps there's one you are looking for), thanks for checking out my item.

PLEASE CHECK OUT PHOTO

All of my sales are final, so, please check out the attached photos, and if you have any questions ask before bidding. Much appreciated. Life is so much simpler…

AND CHECK OUT MY FEEDBACK

It’s funny, my packaging sometimes gets better reviews then the items I have up for auction, once received. Unlike some dealers I’ve dealt with, who ship their comics without bags, or backing board, or any packaging at all (except the outside manila envelope) I wish I was kidding, I treasure these comic books probably more then I should, and I will miss each and every one of them once they are gone, even the ones I’ve never read. And if you hadn’t guessed by now, if I had read them, the comic still looks unread and untouched…

HOW I PACKAGE ‘YOUR’ WINNING ITEM FOR SHIPPING

I personally package each comic book, and pride myself in making sure the book arrives in the exact condition (good or bad), that is featured in the photographs supplied for you to peruse. Currently I ship using the GEMINI comic mailer, I sandwich the comic bagged comic book, between two sheets of double weight corrugated cardboard or two sheets of foam core, taped together. Sometimes I add an additional sheet of either, for extra protection. Then I secure that to the inside of the GEMINI, and then seal the mailer making sure to tape all sides so nothing can seep inside…  Lastly I always put a few stickers on the back, asking people not to ‘crush, bend, or fold’ … better safe then sorry.  If you have any questions, ask away.

I SHIP THE COMICS via MEDIA MAIL … because of the costs of course. If you would prefer faster service, which will cost more money, please let me know before paying the bill, and I will update. It’s possible I think as a buyer, you can request faster service when you pay.

AS A GIFT TO ALL OF MY WINNING BIDDERS. I pay the insurance fee to cover the comic book during its journey to it’s new home. So you and I will sleep better while awaiting the delivery of the package. Sadly I’ve learned the few times you don’t have any, you really regret not having any afterwards.

Thanks for checking out my auction. If you still have questions, please ask away. Good luck if you bid, and good luck with your search.
