DESCRIPTION: 348 pages. [20] leaves of plates. Also illustrated in text. 31cm. Stanford has cataloged this volume as initiating a five volume illustrated history of the Soviet Revolution 1935-1960. This is probably the only volume with significant contributions by Maxim Gorky who died of pneumonia in 1936 after house arrest.
CONDITION NOTES: VERY GOOD. Spine cloth split and joints and may have a repair. Soiling to covers and rubbed at joints. Solid page and cover attachment without creases, marks, or tears. Glassine plate tissues age toned.
