This professional dog training whistle is strong, durable, colourful and designed to encourage interaction between owner and pet for a number of reasons; play, obedience training, tricks (sit, come, stand, lie-down, etc), safety from dangers and traffic.
Easy to blow, with a high pitch, solid tone an single frequency. Provides a crisp pitch tone, that is smooth and easy on human ears. Even though it is quiet to human ears, it is not silent and can echo through the wind when outdoors in order for your pet to hear the whistle.
Dogs will need training with the whistle in order to respond. If you give an instruction, eg 'sit' and your dog sits, you blow on the whistle BEFORE giving a treat. If you do this consistently they then associate the whistle with something good. Eventually you can leave the treat and just given them some attention. This is how they learn to come to you when you blow the whistle.
Whistle is adjustable - take off the plastic cover and adjust the screw underneath, then it is more audible for humans. They are ultrasonic and are designed to be barely audible to human ears.
Please note, this is not a silent whistle, a high pitch sound does omit when blown.
