Extremely rare and highly collectable very early edition with original dustwrapper. One of the harder titles to find in a dustwrapper. Published by Methuen in 1953.  Illustrated wonderfully by Stanley Lloyd.

Red boards are clean and tidy and still bright. Corners are a little bumped and spine has a slight lean. There is a name ink-stamped inside a couple of times. Pages have some tanning/browning and slight foxing, mainly on outer page edges. Pages and binding all intact.

Other than some small nicks, dustwrapper is complete. Not price-clipped. Has some creasing, mainly on front, and a few slightly rubbed areas. A few tears have been neatly repaired on the underside. There is slight browning but the very nice wrap-around cover art remains clean, bright and colourful.

Fantastic addition to any Enid Blyton / Malory Towers collection and a more affordable alternative to the very pricey and extremely hard to find first edition.
