This rare and collectible book is a must-have for military history enthusiasts and collectors alike. Written by Col. Gregory Boyington, this hardcover edition is inscribed and signed in blue Sharpie on the first page. The inscription reads, "Sept. 16, 1983, To Bob Surey - with a Chinese 'Ding-Hao' - From Pappy Boyington." With a focus on WWII aviation, the book offers a fascinating insight into this period of history.

Published in 1960 by The Bobbs-Merrill Co., this 7th printing copy is in very good (VG) condition and comes with its original dust jacket. The dust jacket shows a few small tears (<1/4") on the top and bottom edges. The edges of the dust jacket show a bit of shelf/edge wear. The reverse of the dust jacket shows very light staining and a few tiny scratches/white marks, pictured. The red hardcover shows one small mark in the bottom left corner, near the spine. There are three pin prick blemishes on the spine, pictured clearly in the last photo.

This copy has a few little blemishes but is very presentable overall. It would make a wonderful gift and a fine addition to any book collection.
