Lewis Stone / Meredith Willson
Lewis Stone (1879-1953) He spent 29 years as a contract player
at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and was best known for his portrayal
of Judge James Hardy in the studio's popular "Andy Hardy" film series.
He was also cast in seven films with Greta Garbo, including in the role
of Doctor Otternschlag in the 1932 drama "Grand Hotel". Ink inscription
and signature on an 11 x 8-1/4 album page, 1939. On the opposite side
is a page removed from a program, and inscribed and signed by
composer Meredith Willson, adding 4/4/40.
