This is a Round Chair, Model JH 503, designed by Hans Wegner for Johannes Hansen in 1949. This example was manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s. It has a teak frame with clearly defined finger joints, and has a seat upholstered in black leather. The chair retains remnants of a Knoll / Johannes Hansen label, and the frame is also stamped.
The chair measures 20 inches deep, 25 inches wide and 30 inches high. It has a seat height of 18 inches and an arm height of 27.25 inches. This piece has previously been professionally repaired and refinished, and is in very good condition. It appears as though the back once had some issues at the joints, though that was very nicely and professionally repaired. Please see photos.

The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction. The listed shipping cost is an estimate, though we can likely stay below that number for most areas of the country. If you win the item, we can discuss shipping options, prices, etc. and we will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. We work with a shipper locally who takes great care in their work and has been complemented often on their packing and shipping quality.
