Is it possible that you see a cheaper copy of this comic by scrolling up or down on eBay? Maybe. But did they even care enough to take it out of the sleeve to show you the back of it? Did they take multiple clear pictures of it so you can judge its condition for yourself? Emptynestdeals has made too many purchases of our own online only to discover water damage, missing pieces and even writing on the back. We’ve gotten major gloss wear and wrinkles that couldn’t be seen while in the sleeve, etc. etc. etc. We don’t think we are alone. Here's what you should notice about our comic listings, whether it’s $10 or $100. (More than that and we will probably get it graded!)

If we have a known, uncirculated book -- we want to keep it as minty as possible. We wear gloves and check the front and back of your future comic. We take pictures of the front and back, including capturing the corners on each quadrant.

If we see visible damage, we make sure to capture it in a photo. We don’t thumb through uncirculated books or photo the inside -- so we can keep the spine as crisp as possible.

On circulated or “loved” books, in addition to what we do for uncirculated books, we will take a picture of the inside center of the book to show the staples and any possible detached pages.

If it’s graded, well then you get a front and back picture, and we should be priced right in line with everyone else.

We hope you appreciate the little extra work we do. We are doing our part to make sure you can make an informed purchase. If that’s not worth it, then buy a cheaper copy and best of luck!
