Technics SL-QL15 Quartz Direct Drive Automatic Turntable VGC

Lovely high quality and rare Linear Drive turntable by Technics.

This one is in good clean condition, especially considering it's age, with some wear present nothing really significant.. The perspex lid has a few light light scratches on it but nothing deep and no cracks. A part of the black on the lid has started to wear in places but again nothing bad.

The rest of the turntable really is very good. It has been well looked after and barely has a mark on it.

The only other thing to note cosmetically is that that whilst cleaning the unit a little bit of the text was rubbed off above the speed control and laser sensitivity switches. Doesn’t really attract from the looks of the turntable as it’s been polished off nicely and doesn’t look out of place ( see pics)I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult to get a couple of sticky labels printed or just remember what the two switches do.

The turntable has been cleaned, and relubricated . It has had all the rails cleaned and relubricated and a brand-new drive belt fitted.

However whilst doing this i can’t get the rope system that pulls the arm across out of place back in the correct way!. I attempted to re fit it but it’s quite fiddly and I’m not sure what I’m doing! The laser and motor are working fine and everything seems okay but I can’t seem to set the rope system properly back on and going in the right direction. There are service manuals online but even with this I struggled! If you have done any of these before or are familiar, it’s probably a 20 minute job if you know what you’re doing it’s probably not a hard job. I’ve given up! This will make an absolute bargain for someone who knows how to service these. I’m just too short of time at the moment.
