Beautiful Vintage Carved Fetish Necklace. There are a whopping total of 51 animal fetishes in all!!😃Including the adorable Jet Bear at the bottom. They are in a variety of gemstones. Including Copper Turquoise, Jet, Lapis, Malachite, Coral, Gaspeite, Azurite Malachite, Howlite, Carnelian, Sodalite, Calcite, Jasper, Mother of Pearl & Spiny Oyster Shell. Heishi and Turquoise beads are strung between all the fetishes.

If you like birds/ hummingbirds, bears, turtles, or horses, than you will love this necklace! As there are a wonderful assortment carved in different shapes, and in different gemstones. There are many beautiful pieces of different types of Jasper used to carve these fetishes! There is also a beautiful selection of Turquoise fetishes. I love the fetishes with the Turquoise eyes! You will note five of them that I’m holding facing forward, where you can see both of the eyes at the same time. This is the first time I have ever come across a necklace with Mother of Pearl fetishes! And this necklace has six! Two of which are Buffalo! The fetishes are two sided, and can be turned to face in either direction.

This necklace has three strands, that have a cascading waterfall effect. The necklace measures approximately 26.5 inches long, not counting the extra length the bottom two strands gives it. ( Please see pic with measuring tape, to better understand what I’m referring to). One side of the necklace, from the top of the clasp, to the bottom of the Bear measures approximately 16 inches. Which gives the overall length of the necklace around 32 inches. (Please see photo). The clasp is 925 Sterling Silver. I looked over each fetish on the necklace, and I do not see anything broken. So it appears to be in great condition.❤️

A little about myself: I am part Shoshone, on my Dads side. I currently reside in Virginia. However, I moved here from New Mexico. I am influenced both by my love for the Shoshone people, as well as the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni people that reside in New Mexico. I used to own a Native American trading post. As well as set up a jewelry and dream catcher booth at large festivals and events in my area. When Covid hit I decided it was time to start selling on different online platforms instead. I do miss the interaction with customers though. So if you have any questions please feel free to ask. And be sure to check out my other jewelry listings. Thank you! :)

Turquoise comes in shades of blue, green, and even white. Some pieces will be a solid color. While others will have matrix that range from white, brown, black, and even gold. Please allow for this naturally occurring color variations, and matrix, in some pieces.

Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man’s history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection. Strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, and healing to the eyes. As if carved from a Azure heaven and slipped to earth.
