The inside covers and pages are foxed, stained, and dusted including the end pages. The outside covers have mild corner bumps and rubs. It is inscribed by the previous owner and left inside cover in pen. Both inside covers are decorated in a college scene.
The dust jacket has staining, creasing, foxing, chippings, tears, and loss of paper. The dust jacket has also been clipped on the upper right corner. The top edge page has been dyed blue.
The unusual hardcover book is turquoise in color with purple lettering on the front cover and spine.
